Brewers Win! 5-4! Two Homer From Fielder! Derrick Saves The Day! PLUS: Veggie Taunts! PLUS: A Fantastical Musical Tribute!

Loyal Readers and Brewers Fans!

Did you see the game?

A good one to be sure.

The Brewers jumped all over Cole Hamels early scoring three runs in the first, most notably with a 2-run home by Prince Fielder.

Fielder would go on to hit a second 2-run blast in the bottom of the 8th, following which, he taunted the camera (and your pal Yogi) by mouthing the words "No Meat."

Well, we'll see about that.

Dave Bush pitched admirably letting up 4 runs, all on homers, but it was Mitch Stetter who pitched two scoreless innings, 7th and 8th, and then Derrick Turnbow, (The Most Exciting Man in Baseball) who closed out the game in the 9th.

A Vote of Confidence!

The key for Derrick tonight was what looked like a cut fastball (or something) that had a little bit of movement on it (down and in to the right handed batters) as well as getting the curve ball in for a strike.

Tonight's game could have been a real disaster for this early season for Ned Yost after he (again, like last year) let his pitcher bat in the 6th only to pull him after the first batter in the 7th.

!@#$%

That, and Fielder's home runs take the pressure off of Ned (and Prince) to explain Fielder's low slugging percentage.

And certainly, by Derrick closing the game successfully, Ned doesn't have to answer for his closers' early disappointments.

Butterfly Says!

I don't know about Prince and his vegetarian diet, but he still needs to lose some LBs.

And what's with the ugly mustaches? The only one who looks good with it is JJ!

Ryan Braun needs to hook up with Gabe Kapler and work out a little!

Great game tonight guys!

Thanks, Butterfly!
